Details of the Second Poker Million

Total estimated prize pool for the tournament = $1,500,000! The Finals of will be held on a Caribbean Cruise hosted by Card Player Cruises in March, 2003.

The buy-in for a tournament is $25.

Here's the breakdown of the prize pool ($250). The winner wins a seat into the PPM Semi's. The 2nd and 3rd place finishers will each win a FREE entry into another PPM tournament ($25 value each), $180 will go to the Semi-finals' prize pool, and 20% will go to the house ($2 per person)

Currently, qualifying is Limit Hold'em but No Limit qualifying tournaments will be available in the near future.

The winner of a Poker Million qualifying tournament will get an entry to the semi finals. There will be three sets of semi finals to be held in Aug '02, Nov '02, and Jan '03. Winners of the semi finals will receive a Caribbean Cruise for two and a paid entry into the Finals of the Poker Million 2002 (total value = $7200)

Players may accrue bonus points for the Semi-finals by playing "live" games/tournaments beginning March 23rd.

Players may qualify for the Finals multiple times. They must play their first win and may award, transfer, or sell the additional Semi-final wins. Players may accrue bonus points for the Semi-finals by playing in real money games/tournaments on PartyPoker (from March 23, 2002 thru Jan 28, 2003), you can earn bonus points (chips) as follows:

• Earn 200 points for every 200 hands played (in which a drop is taken, any game/any limit).
  
• Earn 100 points for every real money one-table tournament you win (other than a Poker Million Tournament2) - any game/any limit.
  
• Earn 100 points for every final table you make in a multiple-table tournament (and 200 points for the winner) - any game/any buy-in.

  Please Note:
  

• The maximum bonus points anyone can use for one Semi-final is 2000 and for one set of Semi-finals is 8000. (Players may choose how they wish to distribute their bonus points if they play more than one Semi-final.)
  
• All players will start each Semi-final with somewhere between $1000 (base amount) and $3000 (max allowed) in tournament chips.
  
• Bonus points are only good for each set of Semi-finals. (The three separate periods to accrue bonus points are: Mar 23-July 28, July 29-Nov 4, and Nov 5-Jan 28, 2003). Dates are based on EST.
  
• Players who earn more than 8000 bonus points per time period may carry over a maximum of 2000 bonus points to the next set of Semi-finals.
